This is a 1844 Pattern Yeomanry carbine as used by British Army units. It is a 65 calibre percussion carbine with a 20 inch barrel. As you can see it complete with saddle ring and captive ram rod. They were built from the 1840's to the 1855 era. It is complete and unaltered. The carbine is a smooth bore and has all of the British prof marks of the day. It saw service, but very little going by condition. The captive ram rod is fully functional and the barrel is dark but not corroded.
