Factory wood is very good at 90%, stock appears to have been varnished and shows typical signs of being used. Bluing is almost gone on receiver, but barrel and magazine has about 60% left. Screws all look to be original and in excellent condition. Original sights fully intact & functional. Rifling is also in excellent condition.. No repairs, alterations or additions that I am aware of. Fully operationally, everything appears to be in good shape. Cycles well, strong hammer spring and safety works as it should.
From what I understand, this rifle was purchased by the last owner (my grandfather) in 1948 with some ammunition that is included in the sale. He told me one magazine was fired thru it at the time of sale, but has not been fired since. My grandfather maintained all his guns religiously.
