I have for sale a unique Savage Model 1899 take-down model in .303 Savage in good condition. It was manufactured in 1918/19, has a 20 inch barrel with a very good bore and rifling, a straight grip and lever to match. It has the grooved steel butt plate. What makes this package unique is that it comes with a sturdy, unmarked scope mount which holds a Norman Ford Texan "Chuck" 4X Rifle Scope with a 7/8 inch tube. The scope was recently refurbished by Trace Scope Repair and secured in this mount.
The scope will have to be sighted in; it is bore sighted. I will include a box of ammunition and a set of near new Lee reloading dies. I'm looking for $850.00 for this unusual set up (to try to recover my costs), shipping included. However, I will consider reasonable offers or trades for interesting .25 caliber rifles.
