Low Power Variable Optic Scopes

Low Power Variable Optics (LPVO)
A low power variable optic is a scope with a very low magnification range intended as a generalists scope capable of handling any short to medium range tactical situations moderately well. They have a lower magnification range of between 1 and 1.5 for two eyes open style, situationally aware shooting or can be turned up to 4, 6 or even 8 power magnification for ranges around 300 to 400m distance shots.
They are not as fast as a red dot at close ranges and not as precise as a more powerful scope at long ranges but can do both those rolls moderately well.
As these are scopes, they have eye relief and cant be mounted anywhere on the firearm like a red dot. Most of the scopes shown have an eye relief between 2 to 5 inches.
Unlike a red dot the LPVO is astigmatism friendly.

Victoptics S6
$220
The S6 is a very capable entry level LPVO designed to compete with and beat competing optics at twice its price range.
The S6 is a true x1 to x6 power scope. It is a second focal plane scope meaning the reticle does not change size when adjusting the magnification.
The optic has a 30mm tube to maximize light transmission. The glass etched reticle can be illuminated in either red or green and takes inexpensive Cr2032 batteries from the dollar store.
The S6 has an amazing edge to edge ocular lens that maximizes situational awareness by having very little opaque area visible around the edges.
The S6 comes with a throw lever that allows the end user to rapidly turn the optic from one magnification up to six.
The S6 uses a horseshoe reticle. It is like a circle-dot but missing the bottom of the circle. In its place are graduated dots. These dots are not caliber specific and intended for the end user to match to his cartridge of choice for holdovers.
The turrets for windage and elevation are exposed locking turrets. Adjustments are easy on the fly with no turret caps to lose in the snow. Lockable turrets will not get bumped or changed while in a range bag.

Comes in black and burnt bronze color.
For reasons I don’t understand, the black colored scopes do NOT come with scope rings. I sell a single piece 30mm mount for $40 extra if needed. The bronze scopes come with picatinny mountable rings.
Caliber Range (max): 308
Ideal For: WK-180C, WS-MCR, ACR, Tavor, Templar, Ar15, XCR-L, FX9, PC9, Scorpion, SKS

Vector Optics Constantine
$560
This upper lever LPVO boasts a true x1 magnification for close quarters shooting and a large (for a LPVO) upper magnification factor of x8.
If you are looking for an optic for your Tavor 7, Stag 10 or any other 308 rifle, you will appreciate the larger x8 magnification range over the current industry standard of 6 to maximize the range potential the larger caliber has.
The Constantine uses a horseshoe reticle. It is like a circle-dot but missing the bottom of the circle. In its place are graduated dots. These dots are not caliber specific and intended for the end user to match to his cartridge of choice for holdovers.
The Constantine comes with picatinny mounted scope rings and scope covers.
The turrets for windage and elevation are exposed locking turrets. Adjustments are easy on the fly with no turret caps to lose in the snow. Lockable turrets will not get bumped or changed while in a range bag.
Caliber Range (max): 338.
Ideal For: Tavor 7, Stag 10, BCL102, FNAR

Specter Arms Echelon Combat Optic
$150 (Sale)
This is strictly a LPVO intended for a 223/556 caliber modern sporting rifle.
It has a magnification range of 1.5 to 4. The narrower magnification range is a trade off for the larger, more forgiving eye relief found on this scope.
The reticle uses a graduated circle-dot. When the scope is turned up to 4 magnification, the built in drop compensator allows the end user to quickly aim up for ranges at 200, 300 and 400 meters with ease.
It is also the most budget friendly LPVO.
The ECO comes with a one piece picatinny mounted scope rings and scope caps
The reticle can illuminate in red, blue or green…why blue? Red and green are usually the first colors lost to colorblindness.
This product is being phased out in favor of the Constantine; once it sells out, there will be no more.

Caliber Range (max): 308
Ideal For: WK-180C, WS-MCR, ACR, Tavor, Templar, Ar15, XCR-L
