For sale is one of the rarest Remington 870 variants out there.
The Remington 870 Competition sports a 30" vent rib barrel, dual beads, and fixed full choke. Stock is shaped to have a high comb ideal for trap singles. I've personally shot under 200 shells with this gun, and it looks like it didn't get used much more than that before I got it.
This pump action 12 gauge shotgun has no functional magazine tube. Instead, a unique gas piston is housed in the tube. This piston pushes a weight rearwards after firing which counteracts the recoil of the shot leaving the barrel. What you get is a pump action that feels like a semiautomatic. Gun is in 99% pristine condition. There is a small bit of bluing loss on one spot of the receiver where the forend rubs the metal. A couple of miniscule scratches on the other side of the receiver. And an unfortunate bit of shallow pitting on the data stamp on the barrel. Wood is 100% pristine, as well as bluing on the rest of the gun.
I've seen 3 of these for sale in the last decade, and one of them is this unit. You will not see another one of these for a long, long time.
