Newbrook Farm Equipment Operators - Seasonal

Aurora Peat Products produces professional grade Canadian Sphagnum peat moss products that enhance crop productivity and overall growing media quality for a wide range of industries and uses such as: soil mixes for the horticulture market, soil conditioners, mushroom casing material, general vegetable gardening, cannabis, and reforestation seedlings. We are currently looking for FARM EQUIPMENT OPERATORS – SEASONAL POSITION – NEWBROOK AURORA PEAT PRODUCTS LOCATION

On a daily basis this person will be responsible for:

·Working safely and in accordance with OH&S procedures and guidelines

·Repetitive harvesting tasks, extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting.

·Operation of farm equipment, tillage implements, tractors, and general peat harvesting equipment.

·Performing routine maintenance and inspection on equipment

·Regular land maintenance, assistance with preventative measures for inventory and storage of peat moss as assigned by supervisors.

·Punctual & Reliable

·Exposed to weather conditions, dusty work environment

·Good communication, organizational and time management skills

·Able to lift 50lbs

·Other duties as required
